Yul Kwon

Yul Kwon is a distinguished television host whose career spans technology, law, and public policy, notably winning ‘Survivor: Cook Islands’ and serving in key roles at Google and Facebook. After gaining national recognition as the winner of ‘Survivor: Cook Islands’ in 2006, Yul Kwon demonstrated strategic gameplay and articulate responses that helped challenge stereotypes of Asian American men on television. Kwon’s distinguished career began with a strong academic foundation, earning a B.S. degree in Symbolic Systems from Stanford University in 1997, where he was recognized with Phi Beta Kappa and the James Lyons Award for community service.

Parker, Jr. on the Second Circuit Court of Appeals and further served as a legislative aide to U.S. Senator Joseph Lieberman. Leveraging his national platform after ‘Survivor’, Kwon transitioned into impactful roles across various sectors, most notably in public service.

At Facebook, he quickly advanced to Product Management Director by 2015, where his leadership was crucial in developing and implementing product strategies for one of the world’s largest social platforms. In June 2018, Kwon made a significant return to Google, stepping into the role of Vice President of Product Management, where he continues to drive key product initiatives and innovation. Beyond his executive roles in Silicon Valley, Kwon has maintained his presence in entertainment. He made a highly anticipated return to ‘Survivor’ in 2020 for ‘Survivor: Winners at War’, placing 14th among a competitive field of champions.

Most recently, he competed on ‘Snake in the Grass’ on USA Network in 2022, demonstrating his ongoing appeal and strategic acumen in reality television.
