Zach Galifianakis

Zach Galifianakis is an American actor, comedian, and writer recognized for his distinctive comedic performances in film and television. After achieving widespread fame with his co-starring role as Alan Garner in the 2009 hit comedy film The Hangover, Zach Galifianakis cemented his status as a distinctive comedic actor and writer. His career foundation was built on stand-up comedy, performing in various venues and developing his unique style. Early television appearances included a two-week stint on Saturday Night Live and a role in Boston Common.

Diversifying his acclaimed film work, he appeared in the Academy Award-winning Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance) in 2014, which took home the Oscar for Best Picture. From 2016 to 2019, he starred in, co-created, wrote, and executive produced the critically praised FX series Baskets. His voice acting continued with the role of The Joker in The Lego Batman Movie (2017). More recently, Galifianakis voiced the character Ron in the 2021 animated film Ron’s Gone Wrong.
