About

Zuri Hall was born in Toledo, Ohio, on June 2, 1988. She developed an early interest in singing and acting, leading her to study Theatre at The Ohio State University. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in strategic communication in 2010, Hall pursued further training in improvisation at the Upright Citizen’s Brigade in New York City. Her career began in local television, where she gained experience covering events and interviewing celebrities. She became the first woman to win the ‘Face of MyINDY-TV’ competition, and served as an on-camera host and producer for ‘Living Dayton’ on WDTN from December 2011 to December 2012. Hall also worked as an official MC for sports teams like the Indiana Pacers for the 2010-2011 and 2011-2012 NBA seasons, the Indianapolis Indians, and the Indiana Fever. In 2012, she was the official MC for the Super Bowl Village during Super Bowl XLVI in Indianapolis, introducing national recording artists.

Her career progressed with roles at FUSE TV as co-host of ‘Trending 10’ and appearances on VH1’s ‘Big Morning Buzz Live’ and E!’s ‘Fashion Police’. From 2015 to 2019, Hall was a daily correspondent and frequent fill-in co-anchor for ‘E! News’. During this period, she also hosted MTV’s after-shows and reunions for ‘The Challenge’. In October 2019, Hall transitioned to NBC, joining ‘Access Hollywood’ as a correspondent and ‘American Ninja Warrior’ as a sideline reporter. She also co-hosts ‘All Access’, focusing on entertainment news, human interest, and true crime. Hall has made guest appearances in scripted shows, including a role opposite Jen Aniston in Apple TV’s ‘The Morning Show’ in 2019, multiple appearances on ‘The Arrangement’ on E!, and ‘Nobodies’ on TV Land. She is also the host of ‘Zuri Hall’s Hot Happy Mess’ podcast, launched in November 2019 with iHeartRadio and Charlamagne Tha God’s Black Effect Podcast Network.

Throughout her career, Hall has been recognized for her contributions, including a Regional Emmy Award for Outstanding Host and Talent, earned a year after college. In 2017, she received a Daytime Emmy Award nomination as part of ‘E! News’ for Outstanding Entertainment News Program. Beyond her on-camera roles, she maintains a YouTube channel, ‘Hey Zuri Hall’, with over 100,000 subscribers, where she discusses ‘love life, and style for girls who hustle’. Hall is also involved in social impact initiatives, fronting the partnership between ‘Access Hollywood’ and the Black & Missing Foundation and serving as a panelist on Bravo’s ‘Race in America: Our Vote Counts’ in 2020.
