Angel McCoughtry has been interviewed by sports blog Bleacher Report, in a paid partnership with investment management firm Invesco. Speaking on her journey to reach the heights of women’s basketball, McCoughtry discussed the obstacles she’s had to overcome to find success as a female sportsperson: “I’ve always had to be the type to prove people wrong.” One of the most famous players in the WNBA, McCoughtry is a forward for the Minnesota Lynxs. She’s also picked up gold medals at the 2012 & 2016 Olympics, 2010 & 2014 FIBA World Cups, and 2007 Pan American Games. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, she now calls Atlanta home.
