MN2S is thrilled to welcome model, public speaker and award-winning philanthropist Noëlla to the talent roster.
Noëlla is a renowned social activist and founder of Malaika, a non-profit organization based in New York City that provides access to education and health programs to the Democratic Republic of Congo. Her mission is to empower young girls and women to become leaders in Africa. She is also an ambassador for the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria, a program that aims to tackle health challenges in more than 100 countries. Noëlla’s work has gained support from influential figures such as Thandiwe Newton, Natalie Massenet, Arizona Muse, and Natalie Vodianova. This year, Malaika celebrates its 16th anniversary, and in July, the first students that walked through the school’s gates will depart to continue their journey into higher education.
Noëlla’s passion for education stems from her own traumatic childhood, where she found solace and a sense of control through learning. Today, Malaika runs a free, accredited school, community center, sports center, and medical clinics, providing aid to thousands of youth and adults. She has been recognized as one of the BBC’s 100 Most Influential & Inspirational Women, and she received an award from the House of Mandela at the Nelson Mandela centenary celebration. Noëlla is a sought-after public speaker, having spoken at Davos, UNICEF, UK Parliament, and other events worldwide.
Noëlla is also a model and has been featured in campaigns for Max Factor and La Mer. She uses her platform to advocate for girls’ and women’s empowerment and has been invited to join the United Nations Conscious Fashion and Lifestyle Network. Noëlla serves as a member of the L’Oréal Fund for Women Endowment Fund Advisory Committee. Her contributions were recently acknowledged with the ‘Daughters of Greatness’ prize by the Muhammad Ali Foundation.
