UK DJ Bushwacka, also known as Just Be, has been interviewed in the CLUBZ section of The Sun.

The interview with the acid house legend focuses on his upcoming residency at Dance 88/89 in Ibiza. Dance 88/89 will take place at Sankeys club once a week beginning on Wednesday 25 May and running until Wednesday 28 September. The parties are a tribute to the early rave scene that started with the summer of love in 1988/9. Bushwacka will DJ each of these parties alongside fellow Ibiza veteran DJ Alfredo.

Bushwacka told CLUBZ about the importance of bringing to the spirit of the summer of love to the new generation of clubbers, saying “the scene is very predictable now,” but that “there are still great parties.”

Based on the DJ’s recent performances, under the guises of Bushwacka and Just Be, Dance 88/89 is sure to be one of the best recurring events in Ibiza this summer. Bushwacka and Alfredo will be joined by a revolving cast of guest DJs, including 808 State, Graeme Park, Evil Eddie Richards and Judge Jules.

As Bushwacka told The Sun, “Acid house always prevails and for those that desire and admire quality music and dark smokey warehouse type set ups it’s still there! Viva acid house!”
