DJ Hell releases new Zukunftsmusik album | News | MN2S

Techno icon DJ Hell has released Zukunftsmusik, his first new studio album in eight years.

On Christmas Eve 2016, German electronic music legend DJ Hell released the single ‘I Want You’ – his first in three years. That track, along with its Tom of Finland-inspired video, was a celebration of love between men and a tribute to electronic music’s origins in gay culture.

At the time, DJ Hell teased that a new full-length LP was in the works. Now, the album is available for download in all the usual places, with physical versions coming in June.

Zukunftsmusik has already received glowing write-ups from the press, with German music mag Spex singing its praises, and Musikexpress giving it more than five stars, describing it as the DJ’s magnum opus.

The fourteen track album was released via Hell’s own record label, International DeeJay Gigolo Records, which will turn 20 years old in 2017. Highlights include singles ‘I Want You’ and ‘Car, Car, Car’, but really the whole album is a must-listen.

Known for his pioneering Techno work, DJ Hell can turn his hand to all kinds of electronic music. Zukunftsmusik, which can be translated into English as Future Music, defies genre whilst featuring influences from the worlds of Pop, New Wave, Psychedelica, Disco, and of course Techno.

With his long-awaited new album finally on release, DJ Hell is ready to bring the future music to the people.
