German Techno icon DJ Hell released the single ‘I Want You’ on Christmas Eve 2016, it is his first new single in three years.

DJ Hell has ended his three year hiatus from releasing recorded music to bring us a special Christmas gift: the brand new single ‘I Want You’. The Techno legend broke his long silence with the track, which comes ahead of his brand new album Zukunftsmusik, due out in Spring 2017.

DJ Hell himself had this to say about his latest release: “‘I Want You’ centres on love between men. My intention is to convey the beautiful images of the strong, muscular men of the gay community from an unexpected perspective.”

That perspective is on full display in ‘I Want U’s accompanying video, which draws inspiration from the works of 20th century artist Tom of Finland, featuring animated versions of his most homoerotic drawings. While the official video on YouTube is pixelated to avoid forced removal, the unedited video can be found here with all Tom of Finland’s drawings in their unadulterated, pornographic glory.

The track has proven popular with the Techno community. It reached the Beatport Top 10 upon release. The single is available on vinyl or as a digital download, and it comes with an extended version and a pair of stellar remixes from The Hacker and Martin Matiske.
