Legendary DJ Kenny Dope has been nominated for the DJ Awards’ coveted House Master award.

The 2018 DJ Awards nominations have been announced, with the world’s leading DJs all hoping to make the cut.

The nominations longlist includes many big names, including Masters at Work legend Kenny Dope, and house pioneer Todd Terry, both of whom are up for the House Master award. The two DJs face David Morales, Kerri Chandler, and Dope’s Masters At Work partner Little Louie Vega in the tough category. The public can have their say on the winners by voting at the DJ Awards website now.

Nominees in other popular categories include Nina Kraviz, Hardwell, Martin Garrix and David Guetta, all up for the International DJ award, and Chase & Status, Goldie, and Netsky, who are all competing in the Bass category.

The DJ Awards turn 21 this year, with a move to new venue Heart Ibiza tying in with the festivities. The unique venue was designed and conceived as a collaboration between Cirque Du Soleil and the Adrià brothers; it features art, music and food in what is described as “a laboratory of experiences.”
