Osunlade partners up with Burlie Mac for a second time to release a deep and dynamic EP on Yoruba Records.
Simply titled ii, this six-track EP builds on the pair’s debut release we-are-brothers, issued in April 2019, by weaving elements of jazz, soul and world music into the framework of deep and emotive house. Fusing contributions from guest vocalists with the musical visions of the legendary Osunlade and creative partner Burlie Mac, Po-lar-i-ty is an a unique project that seeks to unite polar opposites, bringing together disparate elements to create something that’s never been heard before.
