How did you get into music? What is your musical background?
I started out as a sync licensing musician after a Warner Music Chappell ex-executive named Kenan Legg found me on LinkedIn, where I was a bit popular with almost 10,000 followers. But sync licensing was not something I saw myself doing for long, as I’ve built my first fans through doing sync licensing music. I can play the guitar, make instrumentals, sing, dance, beatbox, produce, and master music… It’s all about the music for me, and that’s what I’m offering my fans—the best.
Tell us about your first release – what was special about that one?
My first official release is “Tame Me,” and it’s so special for me that I’m taking weeks and months to meditate on the release’s vibe before anyone hears it. I used to make songs as a 14-year-old under the name of Chris Tylr, where I released songs like “On Me” and others. Please don’t Google them; they are awful!
Tell us about the latest project you worked on?
My latest project is “Tame Me.” It’s a pop and EDM-infused song, and I’m working with a really good producer who’s worked on music for big movies. I mean, if he can make music for a big movie, surely he’s going to make something I’m proud of.
Could you describe your musical style and creative vision?
My musical style is about being unique and just enjoying whatever you have in the style of pop, whether it’s R&B or EDM. I’m just telling my fans all I have to offer them. I try to be as real as possible, and my fans have to know it. In this world, you’re either yourself, or you’re lost.
What advice would you give to anyone thinking of entering the music industry?
The advice I’d give to people wanting to enter this industry is to learn how to be real and stay humble. You come, and you go—the last thing you want is to be remembered poorly.
What have you enjoyed about working with MN2S Label Services?
I’m new with MN2S. I’ll see what we can do to push my songs to my fans and new fans as well, so I’ll probably provide you with the right answer in a couple of months.
