Mike Hero is breaking new ground with his latest single, Alone, featuring a licensed verse from hip-hop icon 50 Cent.
Unlike traditional collaborations, this wasn’t the result of a back-and-forth recording session; it’s a strategic and fully cleared licensing move that allowed Mike to build a song around a verse he deeply connected with. Produced by Anno Domini Nation, the track shows how artists can use licensed material to expand their creative palette. MN2S is distributing the single, helping Mike Hero share this unique collaboration with a wider audience while continuing to grow his presence in the global hip-hop scene.
Lyrically, Alone is deeply personal. Mike wrote the song during a dark moment in his life, exploring themes of isolation, resilience, and self-belief. By pairing his introspective verses with 50 Cent’s high-voltage lyricism, the track creates a dialogue between internal struggle and external strength. For Mike, the collaboration goes beyond featuring a big name: it’s a way to bring his story to life while staying true to his own voice. The result is a track that encourages listeners to keep moving forward and find strength within themselves.
Your new single Alone features a verse from 50 Cent. What made you choose this particular verse, and how did you build the track around it?
I wrote Alone back in 2018, during a very dark moment of my life. I’ve always kept some songs on hold, waiting for the right beat to bring them back to life — except for rare cases when I write directly on the instrumental. When my producers, Anno Domini Nation, sent me the beat with 50 Cent’s verse, I felt this strong positive rush in my chest. In that exact moment, the whole track came alive in my head. That’s how Alone was born.
The song isn’t a conventional collab, since the verse is licensed and has appeared elsewhere. How do you see this approach as part of your creative process?
To me, it feels the same way a DJ would remix a big artist’s track — everything is legitimate and cleared. This didn’t limit my writing at all, because my lyrics always come from my personal life, often in this “emo” mood I really connect with. By mixing my words with 50 Cent’s verse, the song gained a duality that I really love.

What is the core message or emotion behind Alone?
The core message is resilience through loneliness. It’s about walking alone, being proud of what you’ve done, even when you feel abandoned, even when nobody takes care of you. In the end, it’s a reminder that everything will be okay and that self-love is what makes you stronger.
Can you talk us through the beat, how it was made and the vibe you were going for?
The beat was fully produced by Anno Domini Nation — and that’s exactly why we’re here talking about it today. They gave it that emotional vibe that matches perfectly with the contrast between my verses and 50 Cent’s energy.
As Mike Hero, how do the lyrics reflect your own experiences or perspective? How do they connect with 50 Cent’s verse?
50 Cent’s verse is aggressive, raw, and rooted in survival — it’s the street energy he’s always had. My verses, on the other hand, are more introspective, emotional, about being alone and finding strength within yourself. The connection comes from the contrast: his fight against the outside world, and my fight against the inside world. Together, they mirror two sides of resilience.
What do you hope listeners will feel when they hear Alone for the first time?
I hope they stop scrolling their phones and think: “Wait, I don’t know this 50 Cent song.” And then they realize it’s a collaboration with an upcoming artist who turned his dream into reality. I want them to understand that if they feel alone, they should never stop believing in themselves and their dreams. That’s the core message behind all my collaborations with huge artists — to show that anyone can make it. It’s never too late to believe in your dreams
How has your partnership with MN2S supported you in sharing this track?
Without MN2S this track wouldn’t even exist publicly. Releasing songs with Eminem and 50 Cent requires extremely careful contract work, and until now I had never found that level of professional care. With MN2S, I did.
What does this release represent for you in your journey so far?
Alone feat. 50 Cent represents my effort and my resilience. I don’t want to be perfect or be the first — I just want people to know that I’ve been pushing forward since 2010, first by organizing concerts and tours, and now through these big collaborations. This release is proof that I made it through life’s adversities that usually make people quit. I didn’t quit — I fought back with resilience. And I want Mike Hero’s listeners to do the same.
