Positive action is everything the world needs right now and SoundCloud is doing just that. This past month the company announced that they would be teaming up with Twitch in order to roll out multiple benefits for creators in the present-day uncertainty.
One of the elements of Soundcloud’s aid is a 50% off discount for a SoundCloud Pro Unlimited subscription. With this, users have access to unlimited audio uploads, lossless HD storage, analytics and SoundCloud Premier which allow creators to distribute their music to other streaming services. The company also partnered with Twitch to give creators that currently have Pro, Premier, and Repost subscriptions access to Affiliate status on Twitch where they can earn money during livestreams.

While this offer ended on March 30, SoundCloud took their generosity to the next level through a direct fan-support button, new marketing and distribution service Repost and over $15 million worth of support for their users. Trainor announced in a blogpost that this $15 million would consist of $5 million in free promotional support for creators in order to attract more listens and $10 million toward an artist accelerator program.
With a 50% surge in uploads on SoundCloud last month according to Trainor, these new initiatives are a gift to both the artists and consumers because in times like these, the world can always use another song to bring us together.
