Even after months of working through home and other various settings, NPR has yet to fail us, especially when it comes to their Tiny Desk concert with Ozuna that premiered last Friday.
Pre-quarantine NPR’s Tiny Desk concerts were filmed in their notorious “tiny desk” office setting. However, fast forward a couple months later and NPR has been dominating the office transition to Tiny Desk (Home) Concerts. Though not filmed in their iconic setting, the concerts have become customizable and unique, giving NPR an advantage to this transition. No Tiny Desk (Home) Concert is the same, as each episode is a completely different setting and filmed remotely.
This past Friday, Ozuna was given the opportunity to create his own cozy and distinct Tiny Desk (Home) Concert scenery. In an intimate and balmy Miami space, Ozuna, the multi-award-winning Puerto Rican reggaeton and Latin trap singer, took to the screen. Last September, Ozuna debuted his fourth studio album ENOC. ENOC is jam-packed with globally renowned artists featuring on 10 tracks of the 20-track album, including J Balvin and Doja Cat. The Tiny Desk (Home) Concert with Ozuna featured some stripped-down versions of a few ENOC singles, like “Caramelo,” “Taki Taki,” and “Del Mar”, backed by a live band.
