Wyclef Jean announces Carnival Anniversary Tour | News | MN2S

Haitian music royalty Wyclef Jean has announced his celebratory The Carnival 20th Anniversary Tour for this summer.

Wyclef Jean, former Fugees member and solo success in his own right, has announced the first details of his forthcoming The Carnival 20th Anniversary Tour, scheduled for summer 2017.

As the tour’s name suggests, 2017 marks the 20th anniversary of Jean’s seminal album Wyclef Jean Presents The Carnival, originally released in June 1997.

The Carnival was Wyclef’s debut solo album. It sold over 5 million copies worldwide, earned the artist two Grammy nominations, and spawned the hit single ‘Gone Till November’ which became one of Wyclef’s signature tracks.

Last year, Wyclef Jean released the J’Ouvert EP which featured hit Young Thug collaboration ‘I Swear’. In a performance at the start of this month, Jean celebrated ‘’The return of The Carnival’’ in a New York live show, paving the way for the full Carnival anniversary tour later in the year.

Also in 2017, Wyclef has announced he will be releasing a brand new full length LP with the title Carnival III: Road To Clefication.

The Carnival 20th Anniversary Tour so far is tentatively slated to reach Europe in June, with some dates still available for bookings in the territory.
