After dropping the critically acclaimed album ELEVATORS: ACT I & II last year, rap phenomenon Bishop Nehru is returning to the MN2S PR roster as we spread the word about brand new music.
Dropping two tracks in just as many weeks, Bishop kicked off his #NehruvianTuesday campaign with the self-produced “CTRL”. A brooding trap roller that’s propelled forward by reversed piano samples, Bishop’s latest delivery sees him confidently riding a ferocious beat while exhibiting the signature multi-flow rhyme style and hyper-intelligent lyricism that’s made him one of the global hip-hop scene’s most respected names. Just a week later came the hazy vibes of ‘wait..’ produced by Juno. Marrying soothing jazz samples with a classic NY-style boom bap beat, Bishop weaves in and out of the swung rhythms with a serene but focused flow, before bringing in the lackadaisical hook which defines the vibe of the track.
Bishop Nehru is now gearing up to take over the remainder of 2019, with a new album dropping imminently, closely followed by a collaborative EP recorded alongside an as-yet-unnamed artist. (The last time Bishop collaborated, he worked with fabled hip-hop legend MF Doom, so expect this one to be something special.) Coming hot on the heels of a hugely successful year, including a sold-out show at eminent London venue Jazz Café, a double-page spread in BRICK Magazine, and an inclusion in Q Magazine’s prestigious list of 2019’s Ones To Watch, Bishop Nehru is now set to double down on his achievements and take his music and artistry to new heights.
