Currently in the midst of a solo Atlantic crossing, Classic Mara appeared live on Norwegian television.
Classic Mara appeared live on Nyhetskompaniet, a current affairs programme on TV 2, on Thursday 19 February, joining the studio panel remotely to discuss her ongoing solo sailing journey. Broadcast at 17:30 CET, the segment saw Mara speak candidly about life at sea, her preparations for the Golden Globe Race, and the physical and psychological demands of long-distance solo sailing. Responding to questions from the programme’s hosts, she contributed to a wider discussion around resilience, independence and extreme endurance challenges, offering insight into the realities of navigating and living alone at sea. The appearance was arranged on the same day following an invitation from TV 2 journalist Lea Girolami Bråthen, with MN2S coordinating availability and providing assets, and Mara joined the programme via live link directly from her boat.
