The Norwegian sailor and MN2S PR client has been profiled by a leading sailing publication as she prepares for the Golden Globe Race.
Norwegian sailor Mara Løvenskiold, also known as Classic Mara, has been featured in Yachting Monthly, where she discusses her preparations for the 2026 Golden Globe Race. The profile follows Løvenskiold as she continues her qualifying Atlantic crossing aboard Showgirl, a Saltram Saga 36 that will carry her through the race’s demanding solo, nonstop, and unassisted circumnavigation. A licensed captain with more than 25,000 miles of sailing experience, she explains how the voyage is helping her test systems, refine celestial navigation skills and understand the limits of both boat and skipper ahead of the race’s September start in Les Sables-d’Olonne. The feature also looks at the modern side of her campaign, including the role social media plays in building an audience and attracting sponsorship, as well as her aim to inspire more women to pursue offshore sailing. Alongside technical preparation, Løvenskiold is also focused on making the boat feel like a liveable home for the long months at sea, while documenting the journey through videos and a live-streamed crossing.

Classic Mara has just completed a solo Atlantic crossing, which she streamed live on YouTube as part of an attempt to set the world record for the longest continuous live stream on the platform. For several years, Mara lived aboard a sailboat, building experience through offshore sailing and long periods at sea. Her work centres on self-reliance, endurance and adapting to isolated, changing conditions. Throughout the crossing, Mara has documented the full process of life on board, sharing preparation, navigation, challenges and daily routines in real time, offering viewers an unfiltered perspective on solo ocean sailing.
