The former Spice Girl has been booked through MN2S to host the international model-search reality series.
Mel B has been invited to present the second season of The Fashion Hero. Aimed at challenging the fashion industry’s conventional standards of beauty and style, the show’s first season was shown in more than 160 territories worldwide and garnered a massive following across the globe. Replacing Brooke Hogan as host of The Fashion Hero, Mel B will be filming at South Africa’s Sun City Resort throughout Spring 2021. Speaking about the booking, Executive Producer of The Fashion Hero Caroline Bernier commented: “[Mel B] is an inspirational figure and is sure to spice up the show with her positive attitude. Mel’s values of self-love and empowerment align perfectly with ours and we can’t wait to get started on production in South Africa next year.”
“Finally a show has come along that stands for everything I believe in. ‘Fashion Hero’ is my dream job because it’s not so much a television show as a movement.”

Not just a television series but a “global movement”, The Fashion Hero seeks to empower its contestants to become role models for their generation. 33 finalists are chosen from a staggering 160,000 registered applicants, as a cross-section of genders, shapes, sizes and ethnicities are chosen to battle it out for the title of Fashion Hero. Contestants compete in a range of challenges that test their “self-belief, clarity and strength of character”, ultimately being evaluated on their ambition, courage and inner beauty. Representatives of four global fashion powerhouses will be appointed as mentors and judges, eventually selecting a winner to take part in an international marketing campaign for their brand. Finally, one overall winner will become the “face and ambassador” of The Fashion Hero.
