Stéphane Pompougnac brought his signature French flair to Morocco on May 3, headlining Xperienza x Origins Fest at the Radisson Blu Taghazout Bay Surf Village. Set beside the Atlantic, his smooth, stylish DJ set at the Garden Pool stage blended deep house with laid-back lounge, staying true to the vibe that made his Hôtel Costes compilations iconic. The immersive festival offered a rich mix of music, art, and culture, with Pompougnac’s set standing out as a weekend highlight. Stéphane Pompougnac is the French DJ behind the ultra-chic Hôtel Costes compilations that soundtracked countless cocktail lounges in the 2000s. Born in Paris and raised in Bordeaux, he spun records in London and Paris clubs before landing a gig at the Hôtel Costes in 1997. That residency sparked a legendary series blending downtempo, house, and Parisian cool. His solo work, like Living on the Edge, mixes smooth beats with a cinematic touch. He’s also spun for fashion royalty – including Gucci and YSL – cementing his status as the sound of stylish nightlife.
