Strictly Come Dancing’s best ever dresses | News | MN2S Talent

Wanting to book the best dressed celebrities from one of the hottest TV shows? Read on to find out who we recommend.

There’s no place quite like Strictly when it comes to fabulous outfits, and the women on the show often get to wear the kind of outrageously sparkly, sequinned numbers that little girls’ dreams are made off.

Of course, there’s always the odd faux pas, and some episodes get a bit too neon not to feel like an assault on the eyes, but it’s a spectacle nevertheless, and the show’s costume designer has won many awards for her work.

We’ve rounded up some of Strictly Come Dancing’s best ever dresses; take a look below and see if you agree with our picks.

Alex Jones, Halloween special 2011

For all the bright colours, daring necklines and skimpy hems that we’ve come to love on Strictly, one of the most beautiful gowns ever to star on the show was a modest, long white ball gown which was worn by Alex Jones for the Halloween special of the 2011 season of the show.

Jones danced the Paso Doble in the outfit to rapturous applause from the audience and judges and the Welsh-woman eventually made it all the way to the semi-finals along with partner James Jordan.

Kara Tointon, American Smooth 2010

Tointon would go on to win the 2010 season of Strictly with partner Artem Chigvintsev, but it was her dress that was the real winner when she performed in the final.

The long black number was heavily sequinned and had a cheeky leg split that allowed her the full range of movement necessary to dance, without compromising one jot on style.

It’s sure to go down in history as one of the sexiest little black dresses of all time, nevermind on Strictly Come Dancing!

Helen George, Week 10 2015

When it comes to romance, you can’t get much softer and more delicate than the blue number worn by Helen George for her Viennese Waltz in Week 10, as she danced with partner Ajaz Skorjanec to Etta James’ classic, At Last.

1920s style beading and a beautifully full skirt helped to set the tone for the whole dance, which the pair made look as effortless as it did stylish.

Georgia May Foote, Week 8 2015

There’s nothing the Strictly audience likes more than a good theme, and Georgia May Foote certainly appealed to that when she performed the Charleston. A gloriously fun and playful dance at the best of times, Foote ramped up the fun-factor with a 1920s flapper style dress.

Far more daring than is entirely historically accurate, it was nonetheless a big hit among fans and really helped to set the scene for the dance – the whole outfit was topped off with a quirky bowler hat that really did provide the icing on the cake.

Caroline Flack, Halloween Week 2014

For celebs who are up for poking a bit of fun at themselves, Halloween week is the ultimate dressing up opportunity. Caroline Flack nailed the perfect combination of sexy, stylish and funny with her costume in 2014, as she and partner Pasha danced to Le Freak.

The pair looked like they were having a ball, and the bright, tassled dress that Caroline wore certainly added to that impression!

Flavia Cacace

If you want to get the inside track on Strictly at your next event, then Flavia Cacace could be the perfect celebrity speaker to invite along. As a former professional dancer on the show, she’s a seasoned expert on the drama, the dancing and of course, the dresses.

She’s available through our talent agency for all sorts of corporate events and private parties, so get in touch to find out more about booking your own Strictly star.
