Aquilo, the English musical duo, creates melancholic electronic music with a proven track record of successful studio albums and sync placements in popular television shows. After gaining initial recognition in 2013 with their singles ‘Calling Me’ and ‘You There,’ the English musical duo Aquilo went on to establish their melancholic electronic sound in media and on stage. Comprised of Tom Higham and Ben Fletcher, their debut EP, ‘Aquilo,’ was released on March 3, 2014, followed by ‘Human’ in December 2014. The track ‘You There’ quickly became a cornerstone of their early success, earning a coveted spot on BBC Radio 1’s playlist and prominently featured in the trailer for the 2014 film ‘Camp X-Ray.’ Building on this momentum, Aquilo solidified their live presence with a performance at the iconic Glastonbury Festival in 2014, marking a significant milestone in their burgeoning career.

This was swiftly followed by their second album, ‘ii,’ released on May 4, 2018, further showcasing their artistic evolution. Aquilo’s music continued to resonate across various platforms, with additional sync placements in series like ‘Elementary’ (2018), ‘Famous in Love’ (2018), ‘Suits’ (2019), ‘The Village’ (2019), ‘Virgin River’ (2019, 2022, 2023), and ‘Maid’ (2021), illustrating consistent demand for their work. Maintaining a prolific output, Aquilo released their third studio album, ‘A Safe Place To Be,’ on October 15, 2021. Their consistent musical output continues into 2024 with the recent single ‘Painkiller.’ Looking ahead, the duo is set to release two highly anticipated albums this year: ‘A Quiet Invitation To a Hard Conversation’ in August 2024 and ‘You Should Get Some Sleep’ in December 2024, promising continued evolution and new material for their dedicated fanbase and industry collaborators alike.
