Armin van Buuren is a Dutch DJ and record producer recognized for his contributions to the trance music genre. His career spans over three decades, during which he has achieved a Grammy nomination and five number one positions in the DJ Mag Top 100. He has released nine full-length artist albums and established a significant global following through his productions, live performances, and his weekly radio show, A State of Trance.
His live shows include the ‘THE ORB’ world tour. The A State of Trance radio show reaches an audience of 44 million listeners across more than 80 countries. In addition to the radio show, he has developed related event series and album series. Annually, Armin van Buuren headlines numerous shows at international festivals and venues, such as Electric Daisy Carnival (Las Vegas, New York), Ultra Music Festival (Miami), Lollapalooza (Chicago, Berlin), and Tomorrowland (Belgium, Brazil). He also holds residencies in Ibiza and Las Vegas, and organizes A State of Trance events in cities like Rotterdam, London, and Mexico.
As a producer, Armin van Buuren has collaborated with a range of artists, including Hardwell, David Guetta, Martin Garrix, Moby, and Jon Bon Jovi. In June 2025, he released his ninth studio album, titled ‘Breathe’. He is also a co-founder of Armada Music, which is identified as the world’s largest independent dance music label.
