Audien, born Nathaniel Rathbun, is a Grammy-nominated American DJ and electronic music producer known for his progressive house and melodic trance contributions. After securing his first record deal with Dutch producer Ferry Corsten’s Flashover Recordings in 2009, Audien released his debut single, ‘Rise & Shine,’ the same year. His sound evolved significantly in 2012, incorporating progressive house elements, notably with ‘These Are The Days.’ His work quickly garnered industry attention, with ‘Eventide’ played by Above & Beyond at the 2012 Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas, and ‘Sup’ featured on Hardwell’s ‘Hardwell on Air’ podcast. In 2013, Above & Beyond further championed him by premiering ‘Wayfarer’ as the inaugural track on ‘Above & Beyond Group Therapy,’ solidifying his rising profile.
Audien expanded his global festival presence, performing at Tomorrowland in 2014. A pivotal moment in 2015 was his signing to Astralwerks and the release of his debut EP, ‘Daydreams.’ That same year, he earned a Grammy Nomination for Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical, for his remix of Bastille’s ‘Pompeii.’ His single ‘Insomnia’ topped the US Dance Charts, while ‘Something Better’ featuring Lady Antebellum achieved a number one on Billboard’s Dance Club Songs chart. Audien performed at major festivals including EDC Vegas in 2015, and at Lollapalooza’s 25th anniversary in 2016. Audien continued to build momentum with successful releases and collaborations, including ‘Crazy Love’ (2016), ‘One More Weekend’ with MAX (2017), and ‘Hot Water’ with 3LAU (2017).
