Hi Lo, also known as Oliver Heldens, is a Dutch DJ and record producer who has gained international recognition for his contributions to future house, deep house, and techno music. After signing with Spinnin’ Records in 2013, Hi Lo, also known as Oliver Heldens, quickly gained international recognition for his innovative contributions to future house, deep house, and techno music. His early releases on the label, including tracks ‘Stinger’ and ‘Thumper,’ laid the groundwork for his breakout hit ‘Gecko’ in 2013. This track captivated DJ Tiësto, leading to its release under Tiësto’s Musical Freedom label, with a vocal version, ‘Gecko (Overdrive)’ featuring British singer Becky Hill, subsequently reaching number 1 on the UK Top 40 chart in June 2014.
In 2020, Heldens collaborated with South Korean girl group Itzy on ‘Ting Ting Ting’ and remixed Katy Perry’s ‘Daisies.’ He also founded OH2 Records that year, focusing on vocal house songs, and increased the focus on his HI-LO alias with tracks like ‘Kronos,’ ‘Zeus,’ and ‘Athena.’ From 2021, the HI-LO alias saw significant traction, including collaborations with techno artists like Reinier Zonneveld, resulting in tracks such as ‘Saw of Olympus,’ ‘Existencia,’ ‘Balearic Mornings,’ and ‘String Theory’ released on Zonneveld’s Filth On Acid label. HI-LO also initiated a partnership with Adam Beyer, releasing ‘Hypnos’ and ‘Hera’ on Drumcode Records in 2021. Heldens consistently performs at major festivals globally, including Coachella, Glastonbury, Lollapalooza, and Ultra, complemented by residencies in Las Vegas and Ibiza. Most recently, in 2023, he released ’10 Out of 10′ featuring Kylie Minogue.
