Electric Guest is an indie pop duo known for their soulful sound and retro grooves, bringing a unique blend of Motown sensibilities and electronic rock to their music. After releasing their acclaimed debut album ‘Mondo’ on April 24, 2012, indie pop duo Electric Guest, comprised of Asa Taccone and Matthew ‘Cornbread’ Compton, quickly garnered industry attention. The album, co-produced by renowned artist Brian ‘Danger Mouse’ Burton, established their unique blend of soulful sound and retro grooves. Praised for its ‘Beck-ian journey into L.A.

Building on the momentum of their debut, Electric Guest released their second album, ‘Plural,’ on February 17, 2017, showcasing their evolving sound and lyrical depth. Electric Guest has maintained a rigorous touring schedule, engaging a dedicated global fanbase. They have consistently performed at major national and international festivals including SXSW, Bonnaroo Music Festival, Sasquatch, Outside Lands, Montreux, Splendour in the Grass, and Leeds Festival, frequently selling out shows. In 2018, the duo headlined SLO Brew’s 30th Anniversary Music Festival, further solidifying their presence on the festival circuit.

The band continued their creative output with their third album, ‘Kin,’ which dropped on October 18, 2019. That same year, Electric Guest appeared on the ‘Comedy Bang Bang’ holiday special, showcasing their versatility. The duo, featuring live members Luke Top on bass and Reese Richardson on keyboards/guitar, consistently delivers dynamic stage shows, contributing to their touring success and global fanbase. Looking ahead, Electric Guest is set to release their highly anticipated fourth studio album, ’10K,’ on October 10, 2025.
