Nicole Moudaber, born on January 19, 1977, in Ibadan, Nigeria, developed her career in electronic music starting as an event promoter in Beirut, Lebanon, during the 1990s. She later moved to London to attend Point Blank Music School, focusing on DJing, which helped launch her as a DJ and producer. Her talent gained significant recognition in 2009 when she signed with Carl Cox’s Intec record label. This collaboration marked a key moment in her early career, leading to further releases and a growing presence in the international electronic music scene.
Moudaber launched her own imprint, MOOD Records, in February 2013, with the release of her “In The Mood” EP. This was followed by her debut album, “Believe,” in 2013, released on Drumcode Records. In 2014, she initiated ‘In The MOOD Radio,’ a weekly show that broadcasts in over 50 countries and across more than 70 FM stations, reaching over 20 million listeners globally. She is also a recognized Ambassador for the Association For Electronic Music (AFEM), working alongside prominent figures such as Armin van Buuren and Pete Tong.
Throughout her career, Moudaber has been a consistent performer at major festivals and venues worldwide, including Coachella, Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC), Tomorrowland, Glastonbury, Movement Detroit, and Space Ibiza. She has also developed unique touring concepts like “MoodRAW” in 2014, featuring performances in unconventional spaces such as warehouses, and “MoodZONE” in 2016, a festival stage concept that premiered at EDC New York. Her work has been featured by publications such as Billboard, The New York Times, CNN, and Mixmag, establishing her as a respected figure in electronic music.
