Fadil El Ghoul, professionally known as R3HAB, was born on April 2, 1986, in Breda, North Brabant, Netherlands. He began his music career in late 2007, producing “Mrkrstft,” which garnered attention after being remixed by fellow DJ Hardwell. This early activity connected him with the nascent Dutch DJ scene. A notable early milestone was the release of “Prutataaa” in collaboration with Afrojack, leading to a signing with Afrojack’s label. Through this partnership, R3HAB expanded his work in producing and remixing tracks, contributing to his growing presence in the electronic music landscape.

Throughout his career, R3HAB has diversified his sound beyond electro house to include big room house, future bounce, future house, dance-pop, and slap house. He has produced two full studio albums, “Trouble” (2017) and “The Wave” (2018). “Trouble” accumulated over 500 million global streams, while “The Wave” achieved over 350 million plays, with tracks like “Ain’t That Why,” “Hold On Tight,” “The Wave,” and “Lullaby” charting on the Billboard Hot Dance/Electronic charts. In 2019, his remix of ATC’s “Around The World (La La La)” became his most streamed song on Spotify, surpassing 634 million streams, topping Spotify charts in eight countries, and appearing on the Global Viral Chart.

R3HAB has also established himself as a prominent remixer, working with artists such as Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Steve Aoki, and The Chainsmokers. In 2016, he launched his own label imprint, CYB3RPVNK, which has since amassed 4 billion streams across platforms. His strategic career moves include an exclusive deal with Dancing Dragon Management under Live Nation Electronic Asia in 2019 to expand his reach in China. The same year, Liquid State, a joint venture between Tencent and Sony Music, signed R3HAB for an Asian distribution deal, focusing on new tracks for the Asian market and licensing his CYB3RPVNK music library of over 190 tracks.
