William Ryan Key is a versatile musician known for his work as the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist of Yellowcard, a pop-punk band. Following Yellowcard’s hiatus and eventual disbandment, he embarked on a solo career, exploring new musical directions and expanding into electronic music projects and production, demonstrating his adaptability and continued presence in the music industry. After joining the pop-punk band Yellowcard as lead singer and rhythm guitarist in 2000, William Ryan Key swiftly led the group to mainstream success. Following the ‘Still Standing EP’ (2000), ‘One for the Kids’ (2001), and ‘The Underdog EP’ (2002), Key fronted the band’s 2003 major-label debut, ‘Ocean Avenue,’ which reached No.

23 on the U.S. Billboard 200. The album yielded international hit singles including ‘Way Away’ and the iconic title track. Key continued to lead Yellowcard through acclaimed albums ‘Lights and Sounds’ (2006) and ‘Paper Walls’ (2007) before their hiatus in April 2008.

In December 2020, William Ryan Key announced a partnership with Hammock for an album of reimagined Yellowcard songs. His electronic project JEDHA debuted on May 31, 2021, with their first song ‘Dividing Pair’ released on June 7, 2021. In December 2021, Key signed with Equal Vision and Rude record labels, leading to the release of his solo EP ‘Everything Except Desire’ on February 11, 2022. Yellowcard reunited for a highly anticipated appearance at Riot Fest on September 17, 2022, and released their EP ‘Childhood Eyes’ in July 2023, with Key continuing to drive the band’s creative output.
