Alexisonfire

Alexisonfire is a renowned Canadian post-hardcore band that emerged from St. Catharines, Ontario, in 2001. The band consists of talented members George Pettit, Dallas Green, Wade MacNeil, Chris Steele, and Jordan Hastings. Their debut self-titled album, released in 2002, quickly gained traction through word-of-mouth, leading to a gold certification in Canada by 2005. This initial success set the stage for their dynamic career, characterized by powerful live performances and a unique sound that blends aggressive and melodic elements.

In 2004, Alexisonfire released their second album, “Watch Out!”, which debuted at No. 6 on the Nielsen Soundscan Top 200 and achieved platinum status in Canada by 2007. The album showcased the band’s evolution, with a more focused and aggressive sound, and solidified their reputation as a leading force in the post-hardcore scene. Their relentless touring schedule, including appearances at major festivals like Vans Warped Tour and Reading and Leeds Festivals, further expanded their fanbase and influence.

The band’s third album, “Crisis”, released in 2006, received critical acclaim and marked a significant milestone in their career, featuring sold-out shows and extensive international tours. Following a brief hiatus, they returned with “Old Crows/Young Cardinals” in 2009, which was well-received and led to a 300-date tour, demonstrating their enduring appeal and commitment to their craft.

After disbanding in 2011, Alexisonfire reunited in 2015, thrilling fans with new music and performances. Their fifth studio album, “Otherness”, released in 2022, won the Juno Award for Rock Album of the Year, reaffirming their status as influential artists in the Canadian music landscape. With a legacy of innovation and passion, Alexisonfire continues to inspire new generations of musicians and fans alike.
