The brilliant singer/songwriter Michael Cameron Anderson is better known by his stage name Anderson East. His unique sound is a blend of R&B, soul, and roots rock, and since his major label debut release, Delilah, in 2015, he has had a further two studio albums, and the No.1 single, All on My Mind.
Born and raised in Alabama, East grew up with a natural talent for music having taught himself piano during High School. He continued to write songs throughout his teens, and then he attended Middle Tennessee State University to study to become a music engineer. He moved to Nashville after graduating and began to pursue a music career, teaming up with Holly Williams, as well as working as a session musician and a recording engineer. His own musical career began in 2009 with his self-released album Closing Credits for a Fire under the name Mike Anderson. He then started recording under Anderson East and in 2012 his second self-released album, Flowers of the Broken Hearted, came out. His talent was quickly spotted by the Elektra imprint Low Country Sound and his debut label studio album, Delilah, was released in 2015. This was followed in 2018 by Encore, from which the No.1 single All on My Mind came from. In 2021 he released Maybe We Never Die.
East regularly connects with his hundreds of thousands of followers and fans through Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, posting pictures and comments about his musical life. He also has a dedicated YouTube channel, Anderson East, and an official website, andersoneast.com.
