Arlo Parks is an award-winning singer-songwriter known for her poetic lyrics, musical achievements, and collaborations. After uploading demos to BBC Music Introducing in 2018, Arlo Parks quickly garnered industry attention, leading to the release of her debut single ‘Cola’ in November 2018 through Beatnik Records. This initial success saw ‘Cola’ rapidly accumulate over three million streams on Spotify by November 2019. Following this momentum, Parks signed with Transgressive Records and released her debut EP, ‘Super Sad Generation,’ in April 2019, recorded with producer Gianluca Buccellati.

Parks’ critically acclaimed debut studio album, ‘Collapsed in Sunbeams,’ was released on January 29, 2021, achieving significant commercial success by peaking at number three on the UK Albums Chart. The album went on to win the prestigious 2021 Mercury Prize for Best Album in September and secured her a Breakthrough Artist Award at the 2021 Brit Awards in May, alongside nominations for Album of the Year, Best New Artist, and Best British Female Solo Artist. Parks maintained a strong presence through 2022 and 2023, delivering a memorable 53-minute set at Glastonbury Festival in June 2022 and performing collaboratively with Phoebe Bridgers at the same event. In June 2022, she was also selected as a guest reader for CBeebies Bedtime Story.

Her highly anticipated second studio album, ‘My Soft Machine,’ was released on May 26, 2023. Further expanding her artistic endeavors, Parks announced her debut poetry book, ‘The Magic Border,’ in June 2023, which was subsequently released in September 2023, showcasing her versatile creative talent beyond music. Demonstrating her impact across the music industry, Arlo Parks received writing credits in March 2024 for the track ‘YA YA’ from Beyoncé’s critically acclaimed album ‘Cowboy Carter.’ This collaboration further solidifies Parks’ reputation as a compelling songwriter and an artist with widespread industry appeal.
