Cold Cave

Cold Cave, the musical project led by Wesley Eisold, has consistently evolved its electronic sound while maintaining a notable presence through extensive touring and collaborations. After multiple record releases and tours, Eisold’s project continues to generate new material. After initiating the critically acclaimed musical project Cold Cave in 2007, Wesley Eisold quickly established an innovative electronic sound, blending darkwave, noise, and synthpop. This followed his influential work in hardcore punk bands American Nightmare (1998-2004, 2010-present) and Some Girls, laying the groundwork for his genre-defying career.

In 2006, Eisold founded Heartworm Press, an independent publishing company, which released his first collection of poems and prose, ‘Deathbeds,’ in 2007, alongside works by other authors. Cold Cave’s debut album, ‘Love Comes Close,’ gained significant recognition, leading to a signing with Matador Records, which re-released the album in 2009. Eisold continued Cold Cave’s trajectory with the release of the follow-up album, ‘Cherish the Light Years,’ in 2011. The same year, he notably remixed Belle and Sebastian’s ‘I Didn’t See It Coming,’ showcasing his versatile production skills.

Throughout his career, Wesley Eisold has continually pushed artistic boundaries, evolving Cold Cave while maintaining a significant presence across music, literature, and culture.
