Aston Merrygold is a singer and television personality recognized for his involvement in various entertainment projects and brand collaborations. After achieving mainstream success as a runner-up on the fifth series of ‘The X Factor’ in 2008, Aston Merrygold went on to contribute to JLS’s phenomenal career, which included five number-one singles on the UK Singles Chart and a number-one album on the UK Albums Chart. By December 2013, JLS had sold over 10 million records globally. Prior to his work with JLS, Merrygold also appeared on ‘Stars in Their Eyes’ in 2002 and was cast in the ITV children’s program ‘Fun Song Factory’ in 2004, marking his early professional engagements.
In 2021, he also joined the judging panel for the Irish talent show ‘The Big Deal’. Most recently, Aston Merrygold made a significant return to the theatrical stage, portraying the iconic role of the Tin Man in ‘The Wizard of Oz’ UK tour and West End production in 2024.
