Be Your Own Pet

Be Your Own Pet is a punk and garage rock band that has gained recognition for their energetic performances and musical contributions, leading to collaborations with prominent artists and appearances at major festivals. After gaining early support from BBC Radio One’s Zane Lowe for their debut track ‘Damn Damn Leash’ in 2004, Be Your Own Pet quickly established themselves as a formidable punk/garage rock force. The band, comprised of vocalist Jemina Pearl, guitarist Jonas Stein, bassist Nathan Vasquez, and drummer John Eatherly, released several singles and EPs with Infinity Cat Records before electrifying audiences with attention-grabbing performances at CMJ in 2004 and South by Southwest in 2005. This momentum led to signings with XL Recordings and Ecstatic Peace!/Universal Records prior to the release of their self-titled debut album in 2006.
