Beatrice Annika Miller, known professionally as Bea Miller, was born on February 7, 1999, in Manhattan, New York, and raised in Maplewood, New Jersey. Her career began at a young age, appearing on television and in film. In 2012, at the age of 13, Miller gained public prominence as a contestant on season two of “The X Factor (US)”, where she finished in ninth place. This early exposure paved the way for her entry into the music industry.
Following her appearance on “The X Factor,” Miller signed with Syco Music and Hollywood Records in April 2013, a collaborative arrangement between the two labels. Her musical journey officially began with the release of her debut EP, “Young Blood,” in 2014, which reached No. 2 on the iTunes pop albums chart and No. 64 on the Billboard 200. This was followed by her debut album, “Not an Apology,” released on July 24, 2015, which peaked at No. 7 on the Billboard 200. Miller has consistently released new music, including the three-EP project “Chapter One: Blue,” “Chapter Two: Red,” and “Chapter Three: Yellow” in 2017, which were later compiled into her second studio album, “Aurora” (2018). Her work has led to touring nationally, including opening for artists like Demi Lovato, Fifth Harmony, and Selena Gomez. She is also noted for her voice acting roles in popular animated films such as “Toy Story 3” and “Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs.”
