Bear Rinehart, a Grammy-nominated musician, is the lead singer and a founding member of the acclaimed rock band NEEDTOBREATHE, a group he has fronted since 1998. His extensive career with the band saw the release of multiple studio albums, including ‘Daylight’ (2006), ‘The Heat’ (2007), and ‘The Outsiders’ (2009). A significant milestone for Rinehart and NEEDTOBREATHE came with a Grammy Award nomination in 2015. The band continued their prolific output with ‘The Reckoning’ (2011), ‘Rivers in the Wasteland’ (2014), and ‘Hard Love’ (2016), solidifying their presence in the music scene.
Extending his musical versatility as a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, Rinehart launched his solo career under the moniker Wilder Woods in 2019. This venture began with the release of singles ‘Someday Soon’ and ‘Sure Ain’t’ in April 2019, paving the way for his self-titled debut solo album Wilder Woods in August 2019, released via Atlantic Records. The album garnered significant commercial success, debuting at No. 20 on Billboard’s Emerging Artists chart and reaching No.
2 on Top Heatseekers. Its lead single, ‘Supply & Demand,’ also achieved success, peaking at No. 19 on the Adult Alternative Songs chart. In parallel with his solo endeavors, Rinehart maintained his commitments with NEEDTOBREATHE, releasing further albums such as ‘Out of Body’ (2020), ‘Into the Mystery’ (2021), and ‘Caves’ (2023).
Looking ahead, Rinehart is set to release his highly anticipated third Wilder Woods album, CURIOSO, scheduled for February 2025.
