Leroy Sanchez

Leroy Sanchez was born in Abetxuko, Vitoria, Spain, on September 1, 1991. At the age of 15, he began uploading cover songs to YouTube, quickly gaining a substantial following. His early YouTube work, featuring covers of popular artists like Adele, Ed Sheeran, and Sam Smith, garnered over 600 million views and attracted more than 4.37 million subscribers. This digital presence served as a foundation for his subsequent career. In 2010, Sanchez moved to Miami, Florida, after meeting producer Jim Jonsin. He later established his base in Los Angeles, California.

Sanchez released his first singles, “By My Side” and “Little Dancer,” in 2014. His independent career continued with the release of his debut EP, “Elevated,” in August 2017, followed by the Christmas song “It Ain’t Christmas Without You.” He embarked on his first international tours, the “Man of the Year Tour” and the “Elevated Tour,” in 2017. He later released his first Spanish single, “Miedo,” in 2020, and a Christmas EP, “The Greatest Gift.” His songwriting contributions extend to notable projects, including co-composing “Voy a quedarme” for the Eurovision Song Contest 2021, performed by Blas Cantó, and “SloMo” for the Eurovision Song Contest 2022, sung by Chanel. His debut studio album, “Sorry For The Chaos,” was released in April 2025.

Throughout his career, Sanchez has been recognized for his work, receiving nominations for a Premios Juventud Award and a Teen Choice Award in 2016. He has continued to release original music, including singles like “Out My Way” and “Proud” in 2021, and the EP “Standby” (2021) and its Spanish version (2022). He has also had a supporting role on Boyce Avenue’s “Be Somebody World Tour” in 2016.
