Brittney Spencer is a critically acclaimed singer-songwriter recognized for her ability to integrate life, truth, and imagination into her music, earning her a reputation as a genre-defying artist in Nashville. After gaining significant public attention in 2020 when her Twitter video covering The Highwomen’s ‘Crowded Table’ went viral with over 150,000 views and praise from notable artists like Maren Morris and Amanda Shires, Brittney Spencer went on to release her debut extended play (EP), Compassion, later that year. This EP featured tracks such as ‘Damn Right, You’re Wrong’ and ‘My Perfect Life.’ Prior to her viral breakthrough, Spencer established her professional foundation, relocating to Nashville, Tennessee, in February 2013 to pursue a full-time career in country music. She honed her craft working as a vocal coach and performing background vocals for artists including Christopher Cross, Carrie Underwood, and R&B and gospel artist Jason Nelson.
Her impactful work has also garnered industry recognition, with nominations for Female Breakthrough Video of the Year at the CMT Music Awards for her track ‘Bigger Than The Song,’ and for her contribution to ‘Blackbiird’ at the People’s Choice Country Awards.
