Chen

Chen is a South Korean singer and songwriter, known for his vocal contributions to the internationally successful boy band EXO and his solo work which spans K-pop, ballad, and R&B. After making his public debut as the fourth member of the internationally successful boy band EXO in December 2011 at the SBS Gayo Daejeon, Chen began his professional career as a trainee at SM Entertainment earlier that year. His early career saw him participate in SM Entertainment’s ballad group, SM the Ballad, in 2014, where he performed duets and lent his vocals to the Chinese version of the lead single ‘Breath.’ In July 2014, Chen released his first solo song, ‘The Best Luck,’ for the popular drama ‘It’s Okay, That’s Love,’ which earned him critical recognition, including ‘Best OST by a Male Artist’ at the 5th So-Loved Awards. Chen continued to expand his musical footprint through various collaborations and solo initiatives.

In January 2024, Chen announced his shift to INB100 for his solo activities, while maintaining his association with SM Entertainment for EXO group endeavors. He subsequently released his fourth Korean-language EP, Door, in May 2024. Looking ahead to 2025, Chen is scheduled to perform at the opening of Korea 360 and will release the pop-rock digital single ‘Broken Party,’ which has already been listed at 17th place on Billboard’s ‘The 25 Best K-Pop Songs of 2025.’ His fifth EP, Arcadia, is slated for release in September 2025, further solidifying his diverse and impactful career.
