Coin

Coin was an American indie pop band that achieved mainstream recognition through their music releases and extensive touring schedule. After rising to mainstream attention in 2015 with their lead single ‘Run’ from their self-titled debut album, Coin, the band established itself as a prominent force in indie pop. Formed in 2012, Coin rapidly built a dedicated following through initial online releases and their debut EPs, Saturdays (2012) and 1992 (2013), which included singles like ‘Atlas’ (2013) and ‘Time Machine’ (2013). Their 2015 breakthrough album, Coin, produced by Jay Joyce and released by Columbia, solidified their position, featuring the impactful lead single ‘Run.’ The band continued its ascent with significant success in 2016 through ‘Talk Too Much,’ the lead single from their second studio album, How Will You Know If You Never Try, released in April 2017.

Released on September 13, 2024, via 10K Projects, this album showcased their evolving sound. The single ‘Take It Or Leave It’ also gained further exposure through its feature in MLB: The Show in 2025. Coin concluded its twelve-year career on January 28, 2025, with the announcement of its disbandment. This decision led to the cancellation of the second leg of their ‘I’m Not Afraid of Tour Anymore,’ originally scheduled for early 2025, bringing an end to the band’s extensive touring and recording history.
