Colde

Colde launched his solo career with the release of his first EP, ‘Wave,’ in 2018, establishing his distinctive alternative R&B sound. He initially entered the music scene in 2016 as a member of the indie R&B duo offonoff. Demonstrating entrepreneurial drive, he founded his own record label, WAVY, in 2018, following the closure of YG Entertainment subsidiary HIGHGRND. His early solo endeavors also included a contribution to ‘SM Station Season 3’ in 2019.

‘YIN’ served as a precursor to a full-length album slated for 2025 and highlighted Colde’s expansive musical palette, drawing inspiration from figures such as Pharrell Williams, The Neptunes, Michael Jackson, Justin Timberlake, and Nirvana, while maintaining his unique artistic identity. Colde’s creative process is distinctively informed by a visual mindset, perceiving music through colors and visual elements before translating them into sound. This design-oriented approach extends to his collaborations, where he carefully selects artists whose voices add specific ‘colors’ to his tracks. His artistic vision is encapsulated in his chosen stage name, Colde, which creates a deliberate contrast with the ‘heartwarming stories’ conveyed through his music, with the added ‘e’ for typographical balance.

His full-length English album is slated for release in 2025.
