David Phelps

A four-time Grammy Award nominee and recipient of twelve Dove Awards, David Phelps is a celebrated Christian music vocalist, songwriter, and producer recognized for his extensive vocal range and powerful performances. Phelps first achieved widespread acclaim as the tenor for the iconic Gaither Vocal Band, a role he initially held from 1997 until 2005. During this foundational period, his distinctive vocal prowess was central to the group’s numerous successes, contributing to multiple Dove Awards and propelling several projects to platinum-selling status. Following a period of cultivating his burgeoning solo career, Phelps returned to the Gaither Vocal Band in 2009, continuing to tour and perform with the revered ensemble until 2017.

Further solidifying his mainstream appeal, Phelps’s 2018 song ‘Catching Santa’ was prominently featured in a global Google Pixel advertisement in 2019, extending his music to diverse audiences worldwide. Beyond his prolific recording and extensive touring commitments, Phelps has notably expanded his repertoire into theatrical performance.
