Deap Vally, the dynamic American rock duo formed in 2011 in Los Angeles, California, has made significant strides in the music industry with their powerful sound and energetic performances. Comprising Lindsey Troy on guitar and vocals and Julie Edwards on drums and vocals, the duo quickly garnered attention with their debut single, “Gonna Make My Own Money,” released in July 2012. Their unique blend of hard-riffing blues-rock and scuzzy aesthetics drew comparisons to iconic bands like The White Stripes and Led Zeppelin, establishing them as a formidable force in the rock genre.

In 2013, Deap Vally released their debut album, “Sistrionix,” under Island Records, which showcased their raw talent and solidified their presence in the UK Albums Chart. The album was produced by Lars Stalfors and featured standout tracks that resonated with audiences. Their relentless touring schedule included supporting major acts such as The Vaccines, Muse, and Marilyn Manson, further expanding their fan base and demonstrating their ability to captivate live audiences.

The duo continued to evolve, releasing their second album, “Femejism,” in 2016, produced by Nick Zinner. This album marked a significant milestone in their career, showcasing their growth as artists and their commitment to pushing musical boundaries. In 2020, they collaborated with The Flaming Lips on the album “Deap Lips,” further diversifying their discography and artistic expression.

In recent years, Deap Vally has continued to innovate, releasing two EPs in 2021 and announcing a farewell tour in 2024.
