DJ TNT

Tre’cee Artis, known professionally as DJ TNT, was born in Buffalo, New York, in 1992. His early exposure to music was through his father, DJ Teddyb, which cultivated an interest in the art form. By the age of 14, he began immersing himself in the local club nightlife, gaining experience and understanding of the industry. This foundational period culminated in securing his first DJ residency in 2008 when he was 16 years old, marking the beginning of his professional career.

Following high school, TNT relocated to Oakland, California, in 2011 to pursue opportunities in the music industry. In Oakland, he developed an affinity for the emerging West Coast Bay Area sound, which influenced his artistic direction. He initiated radio shows and mixtape series to feature local musical talent and demonstrate his DJ skills. These efforts, combined with consistent work, led to increased performance opportunities at various venues across the Bay Area. In recent years, his bookings have expanded to include festivals and exclusive events, solidifying his reputation within the regional music circuit. In 2021, he was recognized as the Bay’s Best DJ, further acknowledging his contributions and skill.

DJ TNT maintains an active presence in the music community beyond live performances. He serves as an official DJ for the Cloud Sesh events in the Bay Area and is the president of the Coalition DJs, a local collective. He engages a significant audience on social media platforms such, with over 10,000 followers across Instagram and YouTube. In addition to producing music for other artists, he also creates non-profit beats available for free use, reflecting his commitment to the broader music community and fostering new talent.
