Eden Hason

Eden Hason was born on August 25, 1994, in Pardes Hanna-Karkur, Israel, to a religious family of Sephardic roots. His father, Yoram, works as a truck driver, and his mother, Esther, is a kindergarten teacher. During his military service, Hason was an active member of an emergency squad stationed at the Air Force Base in Mitzpe Ramon. This early life background set the stage for his emergence as a prominent figure in the Israeli music scene.

Hason commenced his music career in 2017 with the release of his inaugural song, “Shemishehu Yaatzor Oti.” This track achieved significant success, securing the fourth position in Galgalatz’s 2018 Song of the Year rankings. His artistic contributions to this song were further acknowledged with an ACUM “Song of the Year” award in 2019. On April 4, 2019, he released his debut album, also titled “Shemishehu Yaatzor Oti.” He continued his musical output with “Album 2” in 2021, showcasing a blend of Mediterranean pop rhythms with acoustic elements and demonstrating his emotive vocal style. His discography also includes singles such as “Girls Like You” and collaborations with artists like Eden Ben Zaken and DJ duo MaZeZe.

In November 2024, Hason publicly revealed his homosexuality and his relationship with partner Yotam Gavriel through a song posted on Instagram. This personal announcement garnered widespread support from fans and fellow artists, including Sarit Hadad, Netta Barzilai, Eyal Golan, Eden Ben Zaken, and Jonathan Mergui. Public figures such as Benny Gantz also expressed support, recognizing Hason’s bravery as a significant cultural moment for the LGBTQ+ community within the Mizrahi music landscape. This event marked a notable point in his public life and contributed to broader societal discussions.
