Erika Chahoy, professionally known as Erika Jayne, was born on July 10, 1971, in Atlanta, Georgia. Raised by a single mother, Jayne developed an early interest in performing. At 18, she moved to New York City to pursue her ambition in entertainment, initially working as a go-go dancer in the early 1990s. During this period, she secured minor acting roles, appearing uncredited in the first season of NBC’s legal drama series “Law & Order” in 1990 and 1991, and in independent films “Alchemy” (1995) and “Lowball” (1996), where she was credited as Erika Chahoy. This early exposure provided her with foundational experiences in the entertainment industry.
Her career gained significant public attention in 2015 when she joined the cast of Bravo’s reality television show “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” for its sixth season. Concurrently, Jayne pursued a music career, releasing her debut single, “Roller Coaster,” in 2007. This track achieved commercial success by reaching number one on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart. Her debut album, “Pretty Mess,” followed in 2009. Over the years, she released numerous standalone singles, including “Painkillr” (2014) and “How Many Fucks” (2016), both of which also topped the dance charts. Her musical endeavors often involved performances at gay nightclubs and LGBT pride events, such as LA Pride.
Jayne’s career expanded into other television appearances, including guest roles on “The Young and the Restless” from 2016 to 2018. In 2017, she competed on “Dancing with the Stars,” and in 2018, on “Lip Sync Battle.” She also hosted red carpet events for the American Music Awards in 2017 and 2018, and co-hosted the pre-show for the 2018 Billboard Music Awards. In 2019, she made her Broadway debut as Roxie Hart in “Chicago,” a role she reprised in 2025. More recently, in 2023, she launched “Bet It All on Blonde,” a Las Vegas residency at the House of Blues, with a two-part documentary about the residency airing on Bravo in March 2024. In 2025, she competed as ‘Yorkie’ on season thirteen of “The Masked Singer.”
