Florida Georgia Line transitioned from a cover band to a GRAMMY-nominated duo, achieving significant commercial success and establishing multiple business ventures within the music industry and beyond. After achieving Diamond certification by the RIAA for their 2012 debut single ‘Cruise,’ Florida Georgia Line established themselves as a GRAMMY-nominated duo, selling over seven million copies of the track and making it the best-selling digital country song at the time. The groundbreaking single spent 24 consecutive weeks at number one on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart. This rapid success followed the release of their independent EP, ‘Anything Like Me’ in 2010, and their signing with Big Loud in December 2011, leading to a record deal with Republic Nashville.
The duo continued to release new music in 2020, including being featured on Justin Bieber’s ‘Yummy’ remix, ‘I Love My Country’, the 6-Pack EP, a feature on Chris Tomlin’s ‘Thank You Lord’, ‘Long Live’, and ‘Lil Bit’ with Nelly. Their fifth studio album, Life Rolls On, was announced in late 2020 and released in 2021. Following an indefinite hiatus announced in 2022, they released a greatest hits album and were honored with the ‘Florida Georgia Line: Mix It Up Strong’ exhibit at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, running from 2022 to 2023.
