Hope Tala

Hope Tala’s career gained significant momentum in 2019 when her single ‘Lovestained’ was recognized at number 8 on Rolling Stone’s ’50 Best Songs of 2019′ list. This followed the release of her debut single ‘Blue’ in 2018 and the subsequent EPs ‘Starry Ache’ and ‘Sensitive Soul’. A graduate of the University of Bristol with first-class honours in 2019, Tala made the pivotal decision to dedicate herself fully to music, cultivating a distinct sound that blends R&B, neo-soul, and bossa nova, appealing to diverse audiences. In 2020, Tala released ‘All My Girls Like To Fight,’ a track later featured on her EP ‘Girl Eats Sun’.

In February 2025, Tala unveiled her highly anticipated debut studio album, ‘Hope Handwritten’, featuring singles such as ‘I Can’t Even Cry,’ ‘Bad Love God,’ ‘Thank Goodness,’ ‘Shiver,’ ‘Jumping the Gun,’ ‘Survival,’ and ‘Phoenix.’ Demonstrating her growing live appeal, Tala performed as a special guest on seven dates of Halsey’s 2025 US Tour and opened for SZA at BST Hyde Park, broadening her reach to major festival and arena audiences.
