House of Pain are the hip-hop trio whose joyful 1992 hit single ‘Jump Around’ has been inspiring audiences across the globe to jump around in unison for over 20 years. The group released three highly-charting albums in the ‘90s, earning a major-label deal with Tommy Boy Records after their aforementioned hit single catapulted them to the heights of international stardom: “Jump Around” rose to No 3 in the United States, No 6 in Ireland, and No 8 in the United Kingdom, even prompting American record producer, DJ and rapper Pete Rock to produce a timeless remix. Their major break-through led them to tour with numerous rap groups and alternative-rock bands, establishing themselves as one of the decade’s most notoriously lively stage presences.
Consisting of Everlast, DJ Lethal and Danny Boy, House of Pain broke up in 1996 after releasing their third album, only to reunite in 2009, performing at a private event in Boston held by Dana White, Ultimate Fighting Championship’s president. After news spread that the band were back in action, they were invited to perform their first official show after reuniting, at California’s second annual Epicenter Music Festival. Aside from this, House of Pain have made memorable appearances at the Groovin’ the Moo and Scotland’s T in the Park.
